I am fascinated by the way polar bears are at home in the water. Their confidence and control as well as speed makes them more like a marine mammal than a bear. I have been to the land of the white bears and watched them swim with ease, climbing out and plunging back into the frigid darkness. As I am not a big fan of the cold myself, their endurance inspires me. I love the way the hues all merge under the sea water. - John Banovich
