There is a secret gem hiding in the hills of East Africa called Lake Nakuru. Home to some of the best bird watching in Africa, you will also find rhino and Cape buffalo appreciating the constant feathered activities along its shore. I can not resist the opportunity to capture the raw, soft power of the Cape buffalo juxtaposed with the delicate nature of flamingos and white pelicans. It always inspires me to paint the beauties and the beasts featured together in a moment of tranquil peace. John Banovich
